The Indigo Team is involved in some Crazy way with the below Establishments:
Asqew Grill
A newish restaurant brings a decidedly skewed concept to the Haight, Marina and Emeryville. Asqew, which shares a couple of owners with nearby Hobson's Choice, serves an entirely skewered menu. Diners choose 6- or 12-inch spears loaded with ingredients such as peppercorn-crusted ahi, ginger basil lamb, and cilantro lime chicken, served with the starch of choice, for instance roasted garlic mashers, citrus couscous, and mascarpone polenta. The idea is to provide inexpensive (under $10), quick meals for the masses. Given the Upper Haight's busy sidewalk scene, and the restaurant's comfyed feel, that should be no problem.
Hobson's Choice
A new "Victorian-style" pub comes to Haight Street--finally! Hobson's Choice replaces long-closed Achilles Heel at the corner of Haight and Clayton. The name--a reference to an enterprising 18th-century stablemaster--essentially means "an apparently free choice when there is no choice at all." The room itself is a comfy expanse of couches, gold-leafed mirrors, and Victorian-style stained glass fixtures. A variety of liquors and beers--served in pint and 25oz. increments--are featured, but the emphasis here is on rum, a spirit somewhat neglected in this hemisphere. A whole slew of infused rums and specialty drinks are served as cocktails or in "punch bowls," a nod to 18th-century drinking habits. We won't vouch for the "Rummy Mary," but Hobson's Choice truly is a horse of a different color.
Foreign Cinema
A long, stark hallway opens up into a buzzing, energized interior. Inside the dining room, burnished woodwork and a crackling fireplace warm up fortress-like bare concrete walls. A wall of windows reveals more dining tables set up under heat lamps in the outdoor courtyard, where the back wall serves as a huge movie screen for the nightly foreign film showings.
Brunos
Executive Chef Chris Pastena serves up incredible Italian Cuisine while Live Jazz plays in the adjoining bar.....
"Swanky and retro plush, Bruno's restaurant has been a Mission Street landmark
for decades. The booths are what else? red vinyl....The venerable dining room
opens onto a stretch bar with an early '60s mirrored wall behind it.
Be sure to take advantage of this feature to check your make'up and/or pompadour,
because the stylish Bruno's atmosphere demands a certain amount of primping and strutting..."
Crimson Lounge
With no street sign to reveal it's secrets, entering Crimson Lounge can be a
surreal experience to the uninitiated. After making your way through the
stylish surroundings of Indigo Restaurant, and down the back stairwell,
one is greeted by slightly more devilish confines. Deep red banquets envelope
the candlelit lounge. Grab a seat at the illuminated bar, or wade back into
the mirror-like catacombs for a more private destination. If it seems like
we are trying to be elusive, you've grasped our concept.
Crimson Lounge is open exclusively for private engagements. We offer San
Franciscans the unique opportunity to rent an entire bar for the evening
with limited expense and virtually no planning. Our space accomodates up
to seventy-five guests in a hip, energetic atmosphere, complete with a full
bar and optional food choices.
Envision your next party...and let us take care of the rest.
Jade Bar
From the green-tiled bar to the fresh orchids set into candlelit nooks, all elements work to calm the cocktail psyche. Jade is a harmony in three parts. The main floor houses a small central bar and a 20-foot waterfall that empties into a pond below. Follow the trickle downstairs and discover a lounge with Asian-styled banquettes and a second bar. Or, head upstairs to the shag-carpeted loft.As one of the only bars in the neighborhood not tied to a restaurant, Jade fills a void. This is the place to go when the opera lets out or when you're finished pillaging the area's treasured boutiques. Unlike the throng of Marina and North Beach lounges, Jade's stand-alone status guarantees you can relax with other attractive 20- and 30-somethings without spending all night looking for parking.” - Citysearch.com
